How CodeCrafted uses personal information.
This notice explains what happens to information you provide through this website, including when you ask about a project.
Who is responsible
CodeCrafted Ltd is the controller of personal information collected through this website. Its registered office is 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom. Company number 17265819. Email hello@codecrafted.co.uk with a privacy question or request.
Information collected
A project enquiry includes your name, work email address, the service you are interested in and your project description. You may also provide your organisation, an indicative budget and a preferred timeframe. CodeCrafted records when you acknowledge this notice.
The application does not attach your IP address to the saved enquiry. The website and its infrastructure may process limited technical information, such as an IP address, request time, requested page and browser information, in short-lived session, rate-limiting and security logs needed to deliver and protect the service. Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate visit and page-performance measurements using a JavaScript beacon. Ahrefs Web Analytics measures aggregate page views, referrers, interactions, browser and device information, language and approximate location. Ahrefs processes an IP address transiently to derive location and a daily visitor identifier, but says it does not store the raw address or use cookies or persistent identifiers. If you allow analytics through the consent controls, Google Analytics measures page views, referrers, interactions, browser and device information, language and approximate location. The contact page uses Google reCAPTCHA to assess whether a submission is likely to be legitimate. Google may process technical, browser, device and interaction information for these services under its Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Why the information is used
CodeCrafted uses enquiry information to understand and respond to your request, prepare a proposal or quotation, and take other steps you request before entering into a possible contract. The lawful basis is that the processing is necessary for those pre-contractual steps.
CodeCrafted may also keep appropriate business correspondence, prevent abuse, diagnose faults and secure the website where this is necessary for its legitimate interests in operating a reliable business and service. This includes using reCAPTCHA to identify likely automated or abusive form submissions. Optional Google Analytics information is used in line with your consent choice to understand website use and improve its content and performance. Information needed to meet tax, accounting or other legal duties is processed to comply with those obligations. Enquiry information is not used for unrelated direct marketing without an appropriate lawful basis.
Who receives the information
Access is limited to CodeCrafted and suppliers needed to operate the website and respond to enquiries, including website hosting and server-administration providers, Cloudflare for content delivery, security and aggregate web analytics, Ahrefs for aggregate web analytics, Secure Privacy for consent management, email-delivery providers, Google as the optional Analytics and reCAPTCHA provider, and professional advisers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Suppliers may use the information only to provide their contracted service and must protect it appropriately.
International transfers
CodeCrafted selects UK or UK-adequate processing locations where practical. If a supplier processes personal information in another country without UK adequacy regulations, CodeCrafted requires an approved transfer safeguard, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, together with any necessary risk assessment. Email hello@codecrafted.co.uk to ask about safeguards relevant to your information.
How long information is kept
A project enquiry stored by this application is automatically deleted after three years without activity. It may be deleted sooner when it is no longer needed. If an enquiry becomes client work, relevant information may move into contract, project or accounting records and follow the retention period for those records. Session, rate-limit and routine security information is retained only for the shorter operational period needed for its purpose.
What you need to provide
The form identifies the fields needed for CodeCrafted to understand and answer an enquiry. Without those details, CodeCrafted may not be able to respond. Organisation, budget and timeframe fields are optional. The website does not use enquiry information for solely automated decisions or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or portability. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise a right, email hello@codecrafted.co.uk. CodeCrafted may need to confirm your identity before completing a request.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. CodeCrafted will stop that processing unless there are compelling legitimate grounds to continue or the information is needed for legal claims.
Complaints
Please contact CodeCrafted first so the concern can be investigated. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection.
Cookies and similar technology
The website uses session and security technology to operate the enquiry form, preserve validation messages and protect requests against forgery or abuse. The contact page also loads Google reCAPTCHA for spam prevention; Google explains its use of cookies and similar technology in its cookie information. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures aggregate visits and page performance without using cookies or local storage and without fingerprinting individual visitors; see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. Ahrefs Web Analytics measures aggregate website use without cookies or persistent identifiers; see About Ahrefs Web Analytics.
Secure Privacy provides the website's consent banner and preference controls and records your choices. Google Analytics property G-4QGG1XX0NJ operates according to those choices and may use first-party analytics storage when you allow it. Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled in the website configuration. You can reject optional processing or change your preferences through the Secure Privacy controls without losing access to the website. CodeCrafted does not use advertising trackers or cross-site audience profiling.

CodeCrafted will update this page when its processing or suppliers materially change. The latest revision date appears at the top of the notice.
